Article33 Indonesia: Experts (Local Partners) – South Sumatra Province

Article33 Indonesia is a research and policy advocacy institution that explores issues of extractive resource governance (mining, forestry, fisheries, climate change adaptation and mitigation) as well as the themes of basic services and social development (education, social security, health, rural areas and alleviation poverty). Every research carried out by Article33 Indonesia has the target of policy change and involves movements that are supported as a form of advocacy for social change.
Article33 Indonesia is looking for 1 (one) candidate for the position of Expert in the Economic Diversification program for Mining Rich Regions - South Sumatra Province. Experts will carry out activities related to coordination, data collection and advocacy with local governments.
Scope of work:
1. Assist the research team in collecting data from relevant Regional Governments in the form of quantitative data and qualitative data resulting from in-depth interviews and FGDs;
2. Assist the research team in organizing FGDs and discussions with the destination Regional Government, including logistics and accommodation for activities;
3. Help the research team communicate the aims, objectives and results of the study to the Regional Government both informally and/or formally in special forums;
4. Coordinate intensively with the team coordinator and researchers at Article 33 Indonesia to complete the work.
Expert Requirements are as follows:
1. Bachelor's/Master's degree in economics, public policy, political science, social science, and other relevant fields of science;
2. Domiciled in the program destination area;
3. Have a minimum of 10 years of work experience, especially with government agencies, both at the central and regional levels;
4. Have experience working in the field of project management and/or monitoring and evaluating programs and projects;
5. Have leadership and coordination skills for field teams in terms of policy advocacy as proven by experience in related fields;
6. Have basic knowledge of statistics and/or quantitative data processing;
7. Able to operate Microsoft Excel software well, preferably if you have the ability to process data using statistical software such as SPSS or R;
8. Able to work independently and able to coordinate with the research team.
