Projects<\/strong><\/td>This study examines traditional-ecological forestry governance in the Datuk Sinaro Putih Customary Law Community Forest, Baru Pelepat Village, Bungo Regency, Jambi, with a focus on the benefit distribution mechanism (BSM) in the forestry sector and its relevance to REDD+ and the confirmation of customary forest area boundaries. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through literature studies, observations, and interviews with local indigenous communities to understand their interactions with the forest, perceptions of customary law, and factors that influence environmental damage. The results of the study are expected to provide insight into the role of indigenous communities in sustainable forest management and support local wisdom-based policies in natural resource management in Indonesia.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This study explores traditional-ecological forestry governance in the Datuk Sinaro Putih Customary Law Community Forest, New Pelepat Village, Pelepat District, Bungo Regency, Jambi Province<\/strong>. The main focus is on the Benefit Sharing Mechanism (BSM) in the forestry sector, which is related to the implementation of REDD+ and strengthening customary forest management. This study aims to understand the interaction of indigenous peoples with the environment, perceptions of customary law related to the environment, and factors causing environmental damage and protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through literature studies, participatory observations, and in-depth interviews with informants representing various indigenous community groups. This study focuses on Pelepat Village, Batu Kerbau Village, and Lubuk Tebu Hamlet which still maintain Minangkabau customary traditions in forest management. With this approach, it is expected to provide an overview of how local socio-ecological systems play a role in maintaining environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This report is part of a study on \u201cForestry Governance Based on Customary Law Communities<\/strong>,\u201d which aims to explore the potential and challenges in sustainable forest management. The results of this study are expected to provide insight into more inclusive and sustainable policies related to customary forest management in Indonesia.
