Projects<\/strong><\/td>This study examines factors influencing gender equality in the Village Cash for Work (PKTD) program, particularly in terms of income access and asset utilization. Using the GESI framework, it was found that patriarchal perceptions, attitudes toward women in construction work, and gender inequality in households hinder women from gaining equal opportunities. Village regulations and assistance need to be improved to strengthen household empowerment, incorporate gender perspectives, and provide social infrastructure in PKTD. This program is an important first step to promote gender equality in the construction sector and beyond, by creating a more inclusive work environment.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This study explores opportunities for gender equality in village development through the Cash for Work in Village (PKTD) program. Focusing on income access and utilization of assets generated, this study highlights the importance of addressing barriers to gender equality, including patriarchal perceptions of women in construction work and gender inequality in households. Through the GESI framework, this study provides strategic insights to improve PKTD regulations and village assistance to create a more inclusive work environment and support gender empowerment in the construction sector. This study is an initial step to promote gender equality not only in the construction sector, but also other sectors that are still dominated by men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This report is part of a study conducted by Article 33 Indonesia to identify strategic factors in promoting gender equality in village development programs. Each region has different challenges and opportunities, so this study offers local-based policy recommendations to support more inclusive development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
