Projects<\/strong><\/td>This study explores the efforts to develop Vocational High Schools (SMK) to meet the needs of the labor market in Central Java and South Sulawesi Provinces. By highlighting the conditions of labor absorption of SMK graduates, this study maps strategic issues and identifies potential policies that can strengthen the link and match between SMK and the business world and industry in order to improve the competitiveness of graduates at the regional level.<\/td><\/tr>

This study explores the efforts to develop Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Indonesia to increase the absorption of graduates in the labor market. Focusing on Central Java and South Sulawesi Provinces, this study underlines the importance of revitalizing vocational education to address employment challenges, especially post-Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to identify effective strategies in improving the competency of SMK graduates to be more relevant to the needs of the business and industry world (DUDI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This report is part of a study prepared by Article 33 Indonesia to map strategic issues related to vocational education and strengthening the relationship between vocational schools and the world of work. By considering the economic characteristics and unique challenges in each province, this study aims to provide relevant and practical policy recommendations for policy makers in supporting vocational-based economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
