This study explores the results of the implementation of Domestic Market Obligation (DMO) in the coal sector in Indonesia, especially in ensuring the availability of coal for national energy needs. DMO aims to meet domestic needs for coal, with a focus on reducing dependence on exports and controlling prices for energy sustainability. This study underlines the importance of effective governance and consistency in the implementation of DMO policies to support sustainable economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This report is part of a study prepared by Article 33 Indonesia, which aims to evaluate the effectiveness of DMO in meeting domestic coal needs. Each related ministry, such as the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Finance, and Trade, has an important role in ensuring that the DMO policy is implemented in accordance with established regulations.
