INSTITUTION DESCRIPTION
Yayasan Artikel Tiga Tiga Indonesia is a policy research institution for inclusive development issues. Artikel Tiga Tiga Indonesia has produced various researches especially in 4 main areas: (a) education; (b) regional economy; (c) natural resources/climate change (natural resources, climate, and energy); (d) Gender Equity, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI). In addition to research, Artikel Tiga Tiga Indonesia has also provided various policy development assistance for related governments and built networks with various relevant civil society organizations.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Program CREATION (Collaboration for Indonesian Children's Education), funded by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and Save the Children, aims to improve learning and literacy, numeracy, and character competencies of primary school-aged children and improve early childhood foundation skills that support their transition to the next stage through practices and policies in four fundamental areas (outcomes), namely: curriculum and assessment, teaching, leadership, and child protection. These four areas are in line with the four aspects of the ideal school.
- Curriculum and Assessment. Area This is in line with the aspect of student-centered learning, which has a scope related to the implementation of the national curriculum which applies differentiated learning, and carries out assessments to obtain data as a basis for designing learning plans.
- Teaching. This area is in line with the educational aspect that reflective, keen to learn, share, and collaborate where teaching applies differentiated learning, adaptive pedagogical methods and creates an active and participatory environment, as well as the use of learning communities.
- Leadership. This area is in line with Leadership for continuous improvement of education services where increasing the capacity of school principals for school leadership is carried out through the principal learning community, and ensuring that they can supervise learning and design the curriculum of educational units.
- Child protection. This area is in line with the aspect A safe, inclusive and diversity-celebrating school climate where child protection includes prevention of bullying, sexual violence and ensuring an inclusive environment.
LOCATION & WORK PERIOD
The KREASI program managed by Article 33 Indonesia is carried out in North Nias Regency, North Sumatra Province. The working period is 4 (empat) bulan, starting from the candidate Basic Education The selected officers signed contracts until December 2025.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Program Implementation
– Design and implement basic education programs that are aligned with national education standards and the program's mission, goals, and objectives.
– Support quality education services for children in the program’s target areas, ensuring inclusive and equitable access to education, with a special focus on vulnerable groups in society.
– Coordinate the distribution of learning tools and other resources needed for effective teaching and learning.
– Ensure that educational programs implemented are in line with national educational policies and practices.
– Facilitate and provide technical assistance support to Literacy Facilitators, numeracy, early grade Elementary School (SD) teachers, learning communities, parent groups and community groups in the KREASI intervention area.

– Develop a monitoring and evaluation plan for the Basic Education program and ensure it is updated regularly.
– Monitor the development of basic education program interventions and assess the effectiveness of the program in achieving objectives.
– Conduct visits to schools and communities to assess program quality, provide technical support, and identify areas for improvement.
– Prepare and review program reports, ensure data collection and analysis, and contribute to program evaluation and assessment.
– Provide feedback on program impacts and challenges based on M&E results. - Data Collection and Reporting
– Collect and analyze data related to attendance, performance, and other educational indicators.
– Ensure data collection is accurate, stored properly and systematically and meets internal and donor reporting requirements.
– Regularly update databases and information management systems with other relevant data.
– Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, presenting data analysis, key findings, challenges, and recommendations for program improvement. - Community Engagement and Advocacy
– Building strong relationships with school principals, teachers, local communities, parents, and other education stakeholders to increase community participation in order to achieve maximum program results.
– In collaboration with other units, design and implement campaigns to promote the importance of education in the program's target areas.
– Facilitate Community meetings, workshops and training sessions on education related topics (e.g. Literacy, numeracy, child protection, importance of education for Girls, etc.).
– Advocating for policy changes and improvements in the education system to increase access, quality, and equity in education. - Collaboration and Partnership
– Collaborate with local education authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to strengthen education programs and maximize the use of available resources.
– Building partnerships with government agencies, community organizations, and private sector partners to mobilize resources for education.
– Represent the organization in education-related meetings, working groups and forums to stay informed on trends, policies and challenges in the education sector.
– Building and fostering collaborative relationships with other sectors (e.g., health, child protection) to promote a holistic approach to child development. - Child Protection
– Ensure that the implementation of educational programs is designed and implemented in a manner that respects and upholds the principles of child protection.
– Regularly assess risks to child safety in educational settings, ensuring that preventive measures are implemented.
– Support training of staff, teachers and community leaders on child protection policies and safe practices in schools and learning spaces.
– Ensure that child protection reporting mechanisms are accessible and well communicated.
QUALIFICATION SPECIAL
To be able to carry out his/her responsibilities as a BE Officer, he/she must meet the following requirements and qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field.
- Additional training related to education management, child protection, or monitoring and evaluation is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years experience handling Basic Education programs, especially in the context of Development (development) or humanity (humanitarian).
- Experience in program monitoring and evaluation, with knowledge of data collection methodologies and reporting tools.
- Have previous experience working with local communities and government agencies in the education sector.
- Have a strong background in community mobilization and advocacy related to education
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of child development principles, child protection policies and educational practices.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Domiciled or willing to be placed in North Nias Regency.
