Sulfikar Amir is an Associate Professor of Science, Technology, and Society at the School of Social Sciences, NTU, and a prominent researcher exploring the political, institutional, and epistemological dimensions of science and technology. His work spans technological nationalism, nuclear politics, risk and disaster resilience, sociotechnical systems, and urban infrastructure resilience. With a focus on how sociotechnical systems respond to crises, Dr. Amir has authored influential works such as The Technological State in Indonesia and The Sociotechnical Constitution of Resilience. He is expanding his research to digitalization and AI
