Forum on Education and Learning Transformation (FELT) is here as an answer to facing the challenge of improving the quality of education in Indonesia through research in the field of quality education. In collaboration with the Education Standards and Policy Center (PSKP) of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Article 33 Indonesia is committed to collecting educational research, to encourage researchers, academics, education experts, and educational implementing groups (school principals and teachers) to discuss their research results and good practices . By theme "Transformation for Equal Education Quality," FELT was held on 27-28 November 2023. Of the 127 abstracts collected, 18 of the best research were presented in Jakarta. The research results discussed cover quite a variety of topics in the educational transformation discourse, both specifically related to the Merdeka Belajar initiative and other more general themes.
The best research that has been presented is then collected in a form extended abstract and categorized into six subthemes, namely:
- Access to Education
- Driving School Program
- Implementation of the Independent Curriculum
- Learning Innovation
- Participation of School and Post-School Citizens
This diversity of themes shows the variability of interest in important themes and issues in supporting educational transformation. Extended Abstract It is hoped that this will become valuable knowledge to enrich the discourse on educational transformation academically and provide evidence-based support for strengthening educational transformation policies in practice.
Considering the dynamics and outcomes produced, FELT can also be another means for the Ministry of Education and Culture to build strategic partnerships with educational researchers to ensure that educational transformation can take place in a sustainable manner.
As a commitment to continue to advance and realize equitable education in Indonesia, FELT will be held again in 2024. FELT 2024 will be held again with a theme "Overcoming Education Gaps in Indonesia".
