Effective and efficient education spending is a prerequisite for achieving increased access, quality and educational learning outcomes. Increasing per capita education spending will not necessarily increase educational attainment. Regional governments need to evaluate whether the education budget is in accordance with the needs of conditions in the field. One policy that can be implemented is to reduce spending that is not too important and allocate it to priority areas that really need additional spending allocations.
