In 2024, Article 33 Indonesia reached a crucial moment in its journey as a think tank and implementer, bridging knowledge and action to advance social justice and equitable governance. Amid shifting national priorities and global uncertainty, the organization strengthened two key divisions: Education & Regional Development and Natural Resources, Climate, Energy, and GEDSI, both of which expanded in scope and depth.
Over the course of a year, Article 33 Indonesia implemented eight core projects that reached more than 10,000 direct and indirect beneficiaries, produced 56 new publications, and completed 42 pending publications, consistently producing at least one knowledge product per week. These efforts were supported by collaborations with 10 government institutions and various national and international partners.
Key programs include building an inclusive learning ecosystem (KREASI in North Nias, the Pre-Service PPG study, private school financing in Jakarta, and the Anti-Bullying Movement), promoting equitable and sustainable resource and climate governance (the SOLUSI GEDSI study, strengthening indigenous community institutions, and the PESPA urban food system initiative), and supporting policy reform through the Swakelola Tipe III scheme.
At the same time, Article 33 Indonesia invested in internal governance, digital transformation, website analytics, and team development, incorporating empathetic communication and a GEDSI perspective. Managing a program portfolio of over IDR 60 billion, supported by over 20 full-time staff, consultants, and an Advisory Board, Article 33 Indonesia closed 2024 with collective reflection and a renewed strategic direction to deepen evidence-based, collaborative, and inclusive systemic reforms.
