Conserving Forest, Prospering People

This research explores the outcomes of economic diversification in resource-rich regions of Indonesia. Focusing on the provinces of West Nusa Tenggara, Riau, and South Sumatra, the study underscores the importance of diversification to reduce dependence on the extractive sector by identifying economic potential across regions. Therefore, this research provides an important foundation for understanding how diversification can strengthen local economies and create more inclusive development.

This book is part of a study compiled by Article 33 Indonesia to map strategic issues related to economic diversification in various regions. Each region has distinct economic characteristics, and this research seeks to identify the most appropriate strategies based on their local economic conditions.
