The Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) opened a new period of government by discussing with education activists in Indonesia. Article 33 Indonesia as one of the partners of the Ministry of Education and Culture took part in the discussion held on Friday 1 November and Tuesday 5 November 2019 at the Ministry of Education and Culture Complex Jalan Jendral Sudirman, Senayan. This discussion activity was carried out with the aim of providing input to the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Makarim, regarding various educational issues that are important to become an educational policy agenda.

This educational discussion discusses several educational problems in Indonesia, including issues related to national examinations and the zoning system in admitting new students. Both topics have similar main issues, namely related to the system. Problems in the national examination system have given rise to a debate between eliminating the national examination or improving the national examination administration system. Apart from that, the zoning system also found problems, which led to the problem of maintaining the existing zoning system or changing the zoning system mechanism to be different from the previous one.

Based on these problems, the Ministry of Education and Culture emphasized that they need concrete solutions that can be implemented immediately. Regarding this, Minister Nadiem focused on the education change system, namely the dynamics that occur in the classroom. The Ministry of Education and Culture also emphasized the paradigm shift for all levels of ministries, both central and regional, to be able to serve the community better.
