Culture and language are important aspects of a nation's identity. Indonesia has around 781 regional languages with more than a thousand regional accents, unfortunately these cannot be properly recorded as heritage values that need to be maintained for future generations. On this occasion, A33 Research Academy was given the opportunity to share regarding the preparation of structured analysis in research related to the utilization of Cultural and Language data.
With a total of 29 participants, A33 Research Academy provides learning about important elements in conducting research. A33 Research Academy is a platform that tries to provide access to learning related to research skills. Through this platform, it is hoped that in the future it can support the formation of research based on evidence.
At the beginning of the session, an introduction was made about Article 33 Indonesia and A33 Research Academy. After that, participants were invited to fill out a sheet of paper regarding their hopes for participating in the sharing session in the next 2 hours. On this occasion, it was found that participants hoped to understand research better and optimize existing data. Then, in a two-way discussion process, participants said that the aim of one of the language research carried out was to understand how people behaved in the past in running the economy. Unfortunately, this is hampered by documents that are not available from before 1920 and also that the sources are often old.
In this 3 hour lesson, participants were again invited to study the stages of research and the stages of preparing scientific research reports, as well as three basic questions for starting research, namely data availability, urgency of the problem and also relevance to existing policies. Through the learning process, it is hoped that participants can further optimize existing data to produce research that can become the basis for a policy or as knowledge that will be expressed in a profile.
Participants come from:
– Pusdatin Kemdikbud as many as 22 people
– 2 Directors General of Culture, Ministry of Education and Culture
– The Ministry of Education and Culture's Language Development and Development Agency is 1 person
– 2 BRIN Language Researchers
– Cultural Observer Community of 2 people
With this activity you can:
- Motivate participants to link cultural data and Dapodik performance to obtain more comprehensive analysis results
- Motivation for cultural and linguistic culture to be able to use a better approach to support policies that need more in-depth research. An example was given of how an AHP analysis tool was applied in policy formulation, but this was also tried to be applied to other things that could be done. by participants and still opens up the possibility for other more appropriate approaches.
- Motivation to overcome the challenges of language researchers is hampered by documents that tend not to be maintained or if they exist, they are sold to other countries in Europe which can value billions of rupiah. This becomes an obstacle for Culture and Language researchers in carrying out their research. Even if you have to carry out interviews, the living witnesses are already in old age and are often found with poor memory.
