Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi dampak program BERSAMA dalam meningkatkan kompetensi literasi dan numerasi dasar siswa Sekolah Dasar kelas rendah. Dengan fokus di Kabupaten Sumba Barat Daya, Nusa Tenggara Timur, penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya pendekatan peningkatan kapasitas kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan kompetensi mengajar guru sebagai langkah strategis dalam mendukung pendidikan dasar. Penelitian ini menjadi landasan penting untuk memahami bagaimana intervensi seperti program BERSAMA dapat menciptakan perubahan positif di tingkat siswa, guru, kepala sekolah, komunitas, dan pemerintah daerah.

This study explores the impact of the BERSAMA program in improving basic literacy and numeracy competencies of lower grade Elementary School students. With a focus on the District Southwest Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara, this study highlights the importance of the approach to improving principal leadership capacity and teacher teaching competency as a strategic step in supporting basic education. This study provides an important foundation for understanding how interventions such as the BERSAMA program can create positive change at the student, teacher, principal, community, and local government levels.

This report is part of an endline study conducted to map the impact of the program at various levels, while understanding the key factors that drive success or challenges in program implementation. The study uses quantitative and qualitative approaches, with descriptive and econometric analysis based on Difference-in-Differences (DID) to measure program impact, and thematic and narrative analysis to explore implementation experiences in the field. Data collection was conducted in 15 schools in the intervention sub-district (Kodi Bangedo) and 23 schools in the comparison sub-district (Kodi).
