INSTITUTION DESCRIPTION

Yayasan Artikel Tiga Tiga Indonesia is a policy research institution for inclusive development issues. Artikel Tiga Tiga Indonesia has produced various researches especially in 4 main areas: (a) education; (b) regional economy; (c) natural resources/climate change (natural resources, climate, and energy); (d) Gender Equity, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI). In addition to research, Artikel Tiga Tiga Indonesia has also provided various policy development assistance for related governments and built networks with various relevant civil society organizations.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Program CREATION (Collaboration for Indonesian Children's Education), funded by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and Save the Children, aims to improve learning and literacy, numeracy, and character competencies of primary school-aged children and improve early childhood foundation skills that support their transition to the next stage through practices and policies in four fundamental areas (outcomes), namely: curriculum and assessment, teaching, leadership, and child protection. These four areas are in line with the four aspects of the ideal school.  

  1. Curriculum and Assessment.  Area This is in line with the aspect of student-centered learning, which has a scope related to the implementation of the national curriculum which applies differentiated learning, and carries out assessments to obtain data as a basis for designing learning plans.
  2. Teaching. This area is in line with the educational aspect that reflective, keen to learn, share, and collaborate where teaching applies differentiated learning, adaptive pedagogical methods and creates an active and participatory environment, as well as the use of learning communities.
  3. Leadership. This area is in line with Leadership for continuous improvement of education services where increasing the capacity of school principals for school leadership is carried out through the principal learning community, and ensuring that they can supervise learning and design the curriculum of educational units.
  4. Child protection. This area is in line with the aspect A safe, inclusive and diversity-celebrating school climate where child protection includes prevention of bullying, sexual violence and ensuring an inclusive environment.

LOCATION & WORK PERIOD

The KREASI program managed by Article 33 Indonesia is carried out in North Nias Regency, North Sumatra Province. The working period is 1 (one) year, starting from when the selected Advocacy Officer candidate signs the contract until December 2025.

SCOPE OF WORK

  1. Program Planning
    – Design advocacy programs, types of advocacy, implementation time, targets, and other relevant matters.
    – Develop advocacy strategies based on the needs of the target community and involve community and stakeholder participation.
    – Conduct regular coordination with internal teams to obtain input and ensure relevance to program objectives.
  2. Program Implementation
    – Facilitate advocacy activities such as campaigns, workshops, or public discussions.
    – Involve local governments and communities in the advocacy process to ensure program sustainability.
  3. Monitoring and Evaluation
    – Measure the effectiveness of advocacy activities using relevant indicators, in collaboration with the MEAL Officer.
    – Conduct evaluations to improve future advocacy strategies.
    – Formulating improvements to advocacy strategies that are appropriate and in accordance with evaluation results.
  4. Community Engagement and Advocacy
    – Forming community groups that are active in advocacy activities.
    – Conduct consultations with the community to understand existing needs and aspirations so that the program can be optimally received and beneficial.
  5. Collaboration and Partnership
    – Collaborate with NGOs, local and national media, and government to support advocacy activities.
    – Forming an advocacy network at the local level.
    – Together with the MEAL Officer, support learning between KREASI program recipients.

QUALIFICATION SPECIAL
To be able to carry out his/her responsibilities as an Advocacy Officer, he/she must meet the following requirements and qualifications:

  1. Minimum education DIII/S-1 graduate in multimedia, informatics engineering, broadcasting, literature, film, or related majors.
  2. Minimum 1-2 years experience handling programs in NGOs, both humanitarian and development.
  3. Experience working in community development or with marginalized groups.
  4. Have knowledge of monitoring and evaluation frameworks (e.g., logframes and program theory of change).
  5. Experience in creating reports and presenting data to diverse audiences.

QUALIFICATION GENERAL

  1. Ability to operate a computer (preferably Microsoft Office) to support program management.
  2. Strong ability in problem solving and conflict resolution.
  3. Understanding Advocacy work.
  4. Good skills in organizational management and time management including the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
  5. Have good communication skills, both written and oral.
  6. Able to work independently with minimal supervision with quality output.
  7. Willing to travel and be placed in North Nias Regency during the program.
