INSTITUTION DESCRIPTION

Yayasan Artikel Tiga Tiga Indonesia is a policy research institution for inclusive development issues. Artikel Tiga Tiga Indonesia has produced various researches especially in 4 main areas: (a) education; (b) regional economy; (c) natural resources/climate change (natural resources, climate, and energy); (d) Gender Equity, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI). In addition to research, Artikel Tiga Tiga Indonesia has also provided various policy development assistance for related governments and built networks with various relevant civil society organizations.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Tiga Tiga Indonesia Article is currently opening vacancies and requires service providers to support research related to food systems and climate change in the City of Bandung in the Urban Futures Project.

1. SCOPE OF WORK PROOFREADER

Job Description:

  • Review and edit research reports, policy briefs, and other documents to ensure accuracy of language, grammar, and consistency.
  • Ensure documents are free from spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure errors.
  • Provide suggestions for improving writing style to suit the target audience.

Expected Output:

  • Well-edited research report and policy brief documents.
  • Revision notes and language improvement recommendations.

Specific Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Literature, Journalism, Communication, or related fields.
  • Experience as a proofreader/editor in scientific or policy publications.
  • Have an understanding of food systems and climate change (added value).
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented, and able to work under deadlines.

2. SCOPE OF WORK LAYOUTER (Document Layout Design)

Job Description:

  • Designing the layout of a research report document or playbook or book.
  • Ensure document design is up to standards and reader-friendly.
  • Compile supporting visual elements according to internal team input.

Expected Output:

  • Neat and professional research report documents or playbooks or books.

The estimated number of document pages is as follows.
1. Research Report: <50 pages
2. Playbook: 50–60 pages
3. Research Report: >100 pages

Qualification:

  • Have experience in document layout design (research reports, policy briefs, presentations).
  • Able to create professional, attractive and easy-to-read layout designs.
  • Mastering design software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, or Canva.
  • Experience in layout of scientific or policy documents is preferred.
  • Communicative, responsive, and open to discussion with the research team.

3. SCOPE OF WORK TRANSLATOR (Indonesian-English Translator)

Job Description:

  • Translate research reports, policy briefs, and related documents from Indonesian to English (and vice versa).
  • Ensure translations are accurate, contextual, and maintain clarity and academic style.
  • Coordinate with research team to ensure technical terminology is used appropriately.

Expected Output:

  • Research documents and policy briefs in two languages (Indonesian & English) with accurate translations.
  • Glossary of technical terms used in the document.

Specific Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English Literature, Linguistics, or related field.
  • Experienced in translating academic, policy or scientific documents.
  • Have an understanding of food systems issues, public policy, and climate change (added value).
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy and style in translation.
