Even though the government has made various efforts to achieve equality for people with disabilities, the results received still do not reach the target. A study conducted by MAMPU related to the disability inclusion strategy (2018) stated that of the total number of people with disabilities in Indonesia, the majority of these people are in poor families and do not have access to good health services due to welfare problems.

Apart from the conditions above, this research also found something similar in that from secondary data analysis, to date there are still many people with disabilities who have difficulty accessing health services due to not having health insurance and experiencing rejection from health facility services.

This book describes the results of a study which aims to provide an overview of the conditions of access to health services for people with disabilities, both physical and non-physical disabilities. Apart from that, an in-depth study was also carried out regarding regional government efforts to increase accessibility so that it can be used as best practice for each region.
