INSTITUTION DESCRIPTION

Yayasan Artikel Tiga Tiga Indonesia is a policy research institution for inclusive development issues. Artikel Tiga Tiga Indonesia has produced various researches especially in 4 main areas: (a) education; (b) regional economy; (c) natural resources/climate change (natural resources, climate, and energy); (d) Gender Equity, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI). In addition to research, Artikel Tiga Tiga Indonesia has also provided various policy development assistance for related governments and built networks with various relevant civil society organizations.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Program CREATION (Collaboration for Indonesian Children's Education), funded by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and Save the Children, aims to improve learning and literacy, numeracy, and character competencies of primary school-aged children and improve early childhood foundation skills that support their transition to the next stage through practices and policies in four fundamental areas (outcomes), namely: curriculum and assessment, teaching, leadership, and child protection. These four areas are in line with the four aspects of the ideal school.  

  1. Curriculum and Assessment.  Area This is in line with the aspect of student-centered learning, which has a scope related to the implementation of the national curriculum which applies differentiated learning, and carries out assessments to obtain data as a basis for designing learning plans.
  2. Teaching. This area is in line with the educational aspect that reflective, keen to learn, share, and collaborate where teaching applies differentiated learning, adaptive pedagogical methods and creates an active and participatory environment, as well as the use of learning communities.
  3. Leadership. This area is in line with Leadership for continuous improvement of education services where increasing the capacity of school principals for school leadership is carried out through the principal learning community, and ensuring that they can supervise learning and design the curriculum of educational units.
  4. Child protection. This area is in line with the aspect A safe, inclusive and diversity-celebrating school climate where child protection includes prevention of bullying, sexual violence and ensuring an inclusive environment.

LOCATION & WORK PERIOD

The KREASI program managed by Article 33 Indonesia is carried out in North Nias Regency, North Sumatra Province. The working period is 1 (one) year, starting from the ECCD candidate (Early Childhood Care and Development) The selected officers signed contracts until December 2025.

SCOPE OF WORK

  1. Program Implementation
    – Coordinate the implementation of PAUD programs in the program target areas.
    – Facilitate training and capacity building for teachers, caregivers, or other relevant parties regarding child development.
    – Ensure that PAUD runs effectively and efficiently in accordance with established standards and programs.
    – Monitor the use of PAUD materials and resources and ensure appropriate and effective use.
    – Conduct regular site visits to PAUD to assess the quality and impact of PAUD interventions.
  2. Monitoring and Evaluation
    – Support the development and implementation of M&E tools to help monitor child development and program impact.
    – Monitor and assess the progress of the PAUD program, identify gaps, and provide recommendations for improvement.
    – Conduct regular site visits to PAUDs, families, and community groups to assess the quality and impact of PAUD interventions.
    – Collect data on program performance and submit regular progress reports to the Program Manager and other stakeholders.
    – Contribute to the preparation of reports and documentation for donors, stakeholders.
  3. Data Collection and Reporting
    – Collect, analyze, and report key program indicators, ensuring accurate data for program evaluation and decision making.
    – Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on the progress and impact of PAUD activities.
  4. Community Engagement and Advocacy
    – Building close partnerships with local stakeholders, including government institutions, community leaders, and parents, to promote ECD services and raise awareness of early childhood development issues.
    – Facilitate community-based workshops/trainings, meetings and campaigns to promote early childhood care and development.
  5. Collaboration and Partnership
    – Build and maintain strong relationships with local government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders involved in the PAUD program.
    – Collaborate with other sectors (e.g. health, nutrition, education) to ensure a holistic approach to child development.
    – Represent the organization in PAUD forums, working groups, and other related meetings.
  6. Child Protection
    – Ensure the implementation of protection policies in all PAUD activities.
    – Provide guidance on safe and inclusive environments for children and encourage active participation in PAUD programs.

QUALIFICATION SPECIAL
To be able to carry out his/her responsibilities as an ECCD Officer, he/she must meet the following requirements and qualifications:

  1. Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (PAUD), Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Social Sciences or other fields relevant to the position.
  2. Minimum 2-3 years experience in relevant work in Early Childhood Education, Community Development, or related field.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Domiciled or willing to be placed in North Nias Regency.
  2. Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in ECD.
  3. Have a good understanding of child protection standards.
  4. Experience in facilitating training, meetings and community mobilization.
  5. Have good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  6. Proficient in report writing and Monitoring & Evaluation.
  7. Have basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, and internet).
