JOB SUMMARY

In an effort to increase the capacity of elementary school teachers in grades 1-3 regarding literacy and numeracy teaching abilities as well as developing the capacity of the KKG as a forum for increasing teacher capacity, collaborating in a consortium, INSPIRASI and Article 33 Indonesia will develop the 'Learning Leadership (Instructional Leadership) and Development of a Community of Practitioners for Improving Primary School Students' Literacy and Numeracy Skills funded by the William and Lily Foundation. The program is based on the following four problems:

1) Low mindset and capacity of School Principals in academic supervision as well as pedagogical knowledge of literacy and numeracy,

2) Lack of function Communities of Practice (Practitioner Community) from the Teacher Working Group (KKG) and Principal Working Group (K3S) forums,

3) There is no accountability system/mechanism for school performance on student learning outcomes (including literacy and numeracy)

4) Low planning capacity of Regional Government in understanding and managing Policies/Programs related to Literacy and Numeracy substantially (not just administration)

In this project, Article 33 Indonesia will play a role in the process monitoring and evaluate by compiling baseline, midline And endline. Currently in process monitoring and evaluation is already in process midline. Article 33 Indonesia needs a Data Analyst who can measure achievements output And outcomes which relate to changes in the behavior of school principals in supervising teachers, changes that occur in K3S and KKG, as well as changes in local government programs and policies related to literacy and numeracy. Data Analysts will work on short duration phases midline.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Data Analyst position is part time based and reports directly to the Executive Director, Program Manager and Project Coordinator. The position includes responsibility for providing support to Article 33 Indonesia in the form of:

1. Collaborate with the research team to prepare the process data collection, this includes: – Together with the research team, developing a research design, including requirements sampling, instruments, etc.; – Together with the research team, prepare supporting documents data collecting which is included in the realm of qualitative research;
2. Carry out analysis and prepare a final report according to the scope: – Process data and interpret data from the results data cleaningusing the STATA application; – Prepare and finalize the final report; – Present drafts and the final results of the analysis.
3. Do progress updates routine activities.
4. Attend meetings related to the project 'Learning leadership training (instructional leadership) and building a community of practitioners to improve elementary school students' literacy and numeracy skills.
5. Carrying out other work related to the project 'Learning leadership training (instructional leadership) and building a community of practitioners to improve elementary school students' literacy and numeracy skills.

QUALIFICATION

1. Have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of experience or a minimum of a Master's degree with at least 2 years of experience in a relevant field, for example education, anthropology, sociology;
2. Mastering data processing applications such as STATA;
3. Have experience in processing and analyzing quantitative research, monitoring and evaluation as well as skills in writing research reports;
4. Honesty and integrity in carrying out every phase of the research process from data collection to report writing;
5. Having good knowledge and understanding of the local cultural context will be an added advantage;
6. Willing to work both independently and with a team with a flexible schedule, and uphold the principles and policies of Article 33 Indonesia.

JOB DURATION

The duration of this work is approximately until June 2022 with the output to be determined by the project.
