INSTITUTION DESCRIPTION
Yayasan Artikel Tiga Tiga Indonesia is a policy research institution for inclusive development issues. Artikel Tiga Tiga Indonesia has produced various researches especially in 4 main areas: (a) education; (b) regional economy; (c) natural resources/climate change (natural resources, climate, and energy); (d) Gender Equity, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI). In addition to research, Artikel Tiga Tiga Indonesia has also provided various policy development assistance for related governments and built networks with various relevant civil society organizations.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Program CREATION (Collaboration for Indonesian Children's Education), funded by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and Save the Children, aims to improve learning and literacy, numeracy, and character competencies of primary school-aged children and improve early childhood foundation skills that support their transition to the next stage through practices and policies in four fundamental areas (outcomes), namely: curriculum and assessment, teaching, leadership, and child protection. These four areas are in line with the four aspects of the ideal school.
- Curriculum and Assessment. Area This is in line with the aspect of student-centered learning, which has a scope related to the implementation of the national curriculum which applies differentiated learning, and carries out assessments to obtain data as a basis for designing learning plans.
- Teaching. This area is in line with the educational aspect that reflective, keen to learn, share, and collaborate where teaching applies differentiated learning, adaptive pedagogical methods and creates an active and participatory environment, as well as the use of learning communities.
- Leadership. This area is in line with Leadership for continuous improvement of education services where increasing the capacity of school principals for school leadership is carried out through the principal learning community, and ensuring that they can supervise learning and design the curriculum of educational units.
- Child protection. This area is in line with the aspect A safe, inclusive and diversity-celebrating school climate where child protection includes prevention of bullying, sexual violence and ensuring an inclusive environment.
LOCATION & WORK PERIOD
The KREASI program managed by Article 33 Indonesia is carried out in North Nias Regency, North Sumatra Province. The working period is 1 (one) year, starting from the candidate Child Protection The selected officers signed contracts until December 2025.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Program Implementation
– Be a focal person in the implementation of child protection programs and child protection initiatives in accordance with established plans and guidelines.
– Work with schools and communities to ensure child protection services are provided effectively and in a timely manner.
– Ensure alignment of program activities with national child protection laws and international standards.
– Support capacity building efforts by providing training and technical assistance to principals, teachers, community volunteers, on child protection principles and practices.
– Coordinate and align the design of child protection program activities together with the Basic Education Officer, Early Childhood Care and Development Officer and Advocacy Officer.
– Establish/strengthen PATBM (Community-based Integrated Child Protection) in fulfilling children's needs, preventing violence and referral systems at the village level. - Monitoring and Evaluation
– Assist in the development of M&E tools to track the progress and impact of child protection interventions.
– Monitor program activities to ensure compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
– Conduct field visits to ensure the quality of implementation of child protection programs and compliance with standards.
– Responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring activities with local government, educational institutions, learning communities, families and children.
– Participate in evaluations and assessments related to child protection activities, ensuring integration of community feedback. - Data Collection and Reporting
– Collect important and accurate data related to the implementation of child protection programs, using standardized tools and methodologies.
– Prepare regular reports on program progress and achievements, including key achievements, challenges, and recommendations for program improvement.
– Facilitate documentation of best practices, lessons learned and case studies to improve child protection programs. - Community Engagement and Advocacy
– Facilitate school and community-based campaigns to raise awareness on child rights and protection issues.
– Engage schools, local communities, families and children to identify risks and mitigate risks and work together to find solutions.
– Collaborate with other stakeholders to advocate for child protection policies and practices.
– Building and strengthening community-based child protection mechanisms such as child protection committees in schools and communities, for child protection efforts.
Collaboration and Partnership
– Building partnerships with government agencies, child protection networks, law enforcement, and other NGOs to promote a coordinated approach to child protection.
– Represent the agency in child protection coordination meetings and other related networks and contribute to the development of joint strategies.
– Support the establishment of referral pathways to ensure children have access to the services they need (e.g., legal aid, health services, psychosocial support). - Child Protection
– Ensure that all program activities are designed and implemented in line with child protection policies, prioritizing the safety and well-being of children.
– Conduct child protection studies and monitor situations that may pose potential risks to children and other vulnerable groups.

QUALIFICATION SPECIAL
To be able to carry out his/her responsibilities as a CP Officer, he/she must meet the following requirements and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Child Protection, Development Studies, or related field.
- Have a minimum of 3 (three) years experience in managing child protection programs, with a focus on implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and safeguarding.
- Tested in data collection, case management, and reporting in the context of child protection.
- Have knowledge of child protection laws, child rights frameworks and international standards.
- Have experience in community mobilization, advocacy, and working with vulnerable groups.
- Experience in capacity development and training.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated ability to work in partnerships and networks, including governments, UN agencies and local NGOs.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders including children, families, local government and donors.
- Fluent in local language.
- Proficient in operating computers, especially Microsoft Office.
- Domiciled or willing to be placed in North Nias Regency.
