Annual Report 2024 Article 33 Indonesia

In 2024, Article 33 Indonesia reached a pivotal moment in its journey as a think-and-do-tank that bridges knowledge and action to advance social justice and fair governance. Amid shifting national priorities and global uncertainty, the organization strengthened two main divisions: Education & Regional Development and Natural Resources, Climate, Energy, and GEDSI, both of which grew in scope and depth.​

Throughout the year, Article 33 implemented eight core projects reaching more than 10,000 direct and indirect beneficiaries, produced 56 new publications and finalized 42 backdated ones, consistently delivering at least one knowledge product every week. These efforts were enabled by collaboration with 10 government institutions and a wide range of national and international partners.​

Key programs included building inclusive learning ecosystems (KREASI in North Nias, the PPG Prajabatan study, private school financing in Jakarta, and the Anti-Bullying movement), promoting just and sustainable resource and climate governance (SOLUSI GEDSI studies, Indigenous Peoples’ institutional strengthening, and the PESPA urban food system initiative), and supporting policy reform through Type III Swakelola schemes.​

At the same time, Article 33 invested in internal governance, digital transformation, website analytics, and team development in empathetic communication and GEDSI perspectives. Managing a program portfolio of over IDR 60 billion, supported by more than 20 full-time staff, consultants, and a Board of Advisors, Article 33 closed 2024 with collective reflection and renewed strategic direction to deepen evidence-based, collaborative, and inclusive systemic reforms.
